NLE Choppa’s real name is Bryson Potts and has gone by various stage names throughout his life, such as YNR (Young No Love). Later he dropped this moniker and changed to Choppa; today, he is part of Memphis’s rap scene having collaborated with artists such as BlocBoy JB; they even recently posted a video featuring both of them!
Memphis rapper Lil’ Wayne has been using his success to give back to children in his hometown, most notably by unveiling a brand-new basketball court built with Nancy Lieberman Charities.
The court is part of a larger initiative designed to give kids the opportunity to shoot hoops while exploring their city’s history. NLE Choppa performed at the Memphis Grizzlies home opener last Wednesday and plans on coming back regularly with other musicians from Memphis.
